Garvey's Blog

So this will truly be my very first blog post.  I thought I knew a lot about computers but this has been a humbling experience getting to this point of my blog... yikes!  If there is a learning curve for this thing, I'm at the point where the pen is about to meet the paper for the first time.  Lot's to learn - talk to you all later!

Chief Warrant Officer Jay Greiner (Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Station Barnegat Light, N.J.) wanted his crew to feel the importance of job they were doing by visiting the grave sites of the three fallen surfmen; who had taken the job before them.  It's amazing how photos can capture the mood of an entire event.  Only pictures allow you to feel the atmosphere without being present.
